I was excited to help this couple create something unique and memorable for this special engagement session. The couple's grandfather, the owner of a vintage VW Beetle, offered to drive the car from his home in New Albany to the location of their photo shoot on top of a parking garage.
Although it was freezing temperatures of only 25 degrees on the day of the shoot, we were excited to incorporate the Beetle, a family heirloom, into the engagement photos. The parking garage provided the perfect urban backdrop; however, the Beetle's heat didn't work, making it difficult to escape the cold weather.
I captured intimate moments of them snuggling up in the car with the city skyline in the background. And we even snuck in some playful shots, like "driving" the Beetle while pretending to shift gears.
Despite the freezing weather, the couple had a blast during the photo shoot. They created some genuinely one-of-a-kind engagement photos that perfectly captured their personalities and their special bond.
The final images turned out beautifully, and the vintage vibe added a special touch to the pictures. In addition, a unique prop like the VW Beetle made the engagement session more meaningful for the couple. It was a perfect example of how couples can add a personal touch to their engagement photos to make them even more special.
